Original scrimshaw by Salman Rashidi on and o ld ivory billiard ball from late nineteen hundreds. This ivory ball is whole and the hair line cracks on the surface caused by aging were not disturbed by any tools . The artist simply tried to keep it's original size, shape, antique color and authenticity. Size- 2"1/2 in diameterWooden stand made from cocobolo and ivory"Cape Cod Light"Formally called "Highland Light" was built on a bluff at Truro in 1798. The very first lighthouse on Cape Cod. Because this lighthouse is the first to be sighted by ships bound from Europe to Massachusetts Bay, it was equipped with a 1st-order Fresnel lens for maximum range. The tower was rebuilt several times because of erosion . The present 66 foot tall tower was constructed in 1857 and was stationed more inland. Also shown in the scene is an old Gallion.
