San Antonio Souvenir Plate Offered for consideration is a collector's souvenir plate from San Antonio, Texas, by Vernon Kilns. In the center of the plate is a depiction of the Alamo - shrine of Texas Liberty; the border features various landmarks, including: the Spanish Governor's Palace, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Francisco, Randolph Field Airport, Mission San Jose, the San Fernando Cathedral, and the Municipal auditorium. This plate was made by Vernon Kilns expressly for "The Vogue" which was an exclusive high-end department store in San Antonio that closed sometime in the 1950s. The brown transferware plate has a diameter of 10 1/4 inches and is backstamped: San Antonio Texas ... Home of the Alamo ... Designed for The Vogue by Vernon Kilns ... U.S.A.
