They have never been run and are new (old stock) in their original boxes. They have not been opened have had no run time. They will probably need at least an extended run in time, and probably should have a re-lube. These engines were produced before being DCC ready was standard.Proto 2000 units feature: Outstanding detail, 12 wheel electrical pickup, dual machined flywheel motors, sintered bronze bearings and frame mounted universal coupler pockets.
