I have a Spyderco Police lockback folder with a satin finished GIN-1 stainless steel SpyderEdge spearpoint blade and a stainless steel handle up for auction. As its name would suggest, the Police is a popular model for law enforcement, and with a blade length of 4 1/4" and an OAL of 9 1/2", it is a big, versatile carry knife for anyone. This particular piece is especially desirable, as it has been customized by Santa Fe Stoneworks with a gold lip mother-of-pearl handle scale on one side inlaid with what appears to be Apache gold. The gold lip MOP shows off a beautiful array of colors that I was unable to capture in my pictures. The Police listed appears to have been carried lightly, but never used or resharpened. T are a few light scratches on the non-pearl handle slab, but the knife is in perfect functional condition. The original factory edge from Spyderco is extremely sharp. The opening action is very smooth, and the lock-up is rock solid. This knife would retail for $ 290 new, and a non-customized Spyderco Police with a stainless steel handle would retail for $ 149.95 new, but I will start the bidding at a low price so everyone has the opportunity to get it for possibly a lot less than even the retail price for a non-customized Spyderco Police.
