SCARCE Antique Calf Leather Works of Shakespeare 1876 The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, with Life of the Poet; Glossarial and other notes, etc., etc., from the works of Collier, Knight, Dyce, Douce, halliwell, Hunter, Richardson, Verplanck, and Hudson. Edited by George Long Duyckinck. Published in 1876 by Porter and Coates, Philadelphia. Condition: Good. Cover has stains, rubbing, and noticeable wear. Inside has prev. owner's neat inscription on flyleaf page, else fine with tight binding. Full calf leather, 6 1/2" x 10". Marbled endpapers and all edges color marbled. Wonderful tissue covered engravings throughout. This is a precious and very rare early printing of Shakespeare's Complete Works in one volume!
