ABSOLUTELY STUNNING 1950's vintage Murano venetian glass Seguso dish, about 60 years old, 9 inches across at it's widest point, 2.5 inches deep at centre... a beautiful piece to add to your venetian glass collection. Gorgeous opaline glass, turned up on one end with an attached dolphin heavily laden with gold inclusions. Unfortunately, the dolphin's tail must have been broken off at some point in it's life, and someone has attached a pink venetian glass flower to cover the break. The attachment is very neat and well done and certainly does not detract from the bowl's beaty in any way, in fact it seems to be an enhancement, particularly if the colour suits your decor. Not chipped or scratched, ground and polished pontil on bottom, minor wear commensurate with it's age. You will see from the pictures that this is a very heavy, substantial and rare piece, breathtaking in the right setting with the right lighting. Quite a heavy piece with thick glass. looks wonderful filled with candies. I just hate to let it go, I have had it for a quite some time, but we are moving and need to downsize our vast collection.
