~ Set of 21 Pyrex Dishes ~ Flamingo Pink / Melon Color with Gold Band This is a great set of 21 vintage Pyrex dinnerware dishes. I am unsure whether this is definitely the Flamingo Pink color, as to me it appears to be more of an orange or deep melon color. Either way, I think it is pretty rare to find so many pieces in such amazing conditionâe¦ These are white milk glass and glossy, with the vibrant orange pink color banded on both sides with gold trim. I picked this beautiful set up at an estate sale. Pyrex introduced the colored dinnerware in the early 1950s, and the earliest ad that I have found them pictured in is from 1952. The stamp (in gold) on the bottom of plates is: Made in USA PYREX ® 4 Dessert or Salad Plates These measure 8-1/4" in diameter, 5" across base, and are 3/4" tall. Stamp on bottom of plates: Made in USA PYREX 3 Cups These measure 4" across top, 1-3/4" across base, and are 2-1/4" tall. Stamp on bottom: Made in USA PYREX 10 Saucers Each one measures 6-1/4" in diameter, 3-1/2" across base, and are 3/4" tall. PLEASE NOTE that t are two different types of saucers. read more
