This auction is for a set of 6 W.R. Carnation Pattern Silver Plated Fruit Spoons. I think they are actually grapefruit spoons. I found these in the bottom of a box of linens that I bought at a local antique auction. They were absolutely black. I polished them up and discovered that they are beautiful! The handles and base of the spoons are ornately decorated with carnations. On the back of the handle it says Pat Jan. 08. It then has a cross type symbol followed by the letters W.R. T is another symbol following the W.R. but it is hard to describe. When I looked these up they used the word Keystone...I am not sure what that means, but these spoons are the same as the ones described with that term. I think it has something to do with the symbols on the handle. The pictures make the spoons look like they are tarnished, but they are not. It is just bad photography on my part. They are absolutely beautiful and in EXCELLENT Condition...nice and shiny, no scratches or dents, and the silverplate is not worn at all. They are coming to you in what I think is the original box. The box is marked The C. B. Brown Co. Jewelers Omaha. These are so pretty....I guarantee that you will love them! I have tried to describe these to the best of my ability. Please contact me with any questions. T is no reserve on this auction. Thanks for Looking and Have read more
