The time has come to thin out my collections. I have a few hundred pieces of Shelley and thought I'd start with some of my 70+ nut dishes. No two of what I own are exactly alike. I'll pick and choose from time to time and offer a few up for auction at VERY REASONABLE prices so others can enjoy their timeless beauty. With the holidays just around the corner why not consider one as a gift for yourself or another special person in your life? This lovely oval Shelley Blue Poppy dish has a blue scalloped top and webbed sides. It measures 3-7/8" x 5-1/2". It bears the Shelley mark and the number 14168 on the bottom. The mark was one that Shelley used between 1945-1966. The dish is in MINT condition - no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines, or roughness. In their books, Shelley China and More Shelley China, Lee Jones and Russ Nicholas, price these dishes at $45-$50. The shipping weight will be 1-2 lbs. The buyer has the choice of USPS Priority Mail of USPS Parcel Post. Insurance is required on all breakable items.
