Japanese manufacture Shibata bowl, fully base marked, measuring approx 11 cms diameter and 4 cms deep. Very good, used condition, minimal signs of use in the well of the bowl when turned to catch the light, but not obvious otherwise. The design has quite a lot of gilding, not entirely obvious in photo, and has extremely good detail and fine lines. The cluster of 4 blooms are all gilded as are the long frond like parts which I think are part of chrysanthemum. Attractive mauve / purple accents.
