~Shiro Kasamatsu Woodblock Print~ This beautiful woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu measures 15"L x 10"W. At one time it was professionally framed and affixed onto a mat board, which is how you will receive it. Am not certain if the adhesive used will allow it to be removed from this mat board. Along the lower border in pencil is written: " Spring at Ueno Park, Tokyo" and signed by the artist "Shiro Kasamatsu". T are many Japanese characters written in pencil along the right hand border. As well, the person who framed the print wrote notes in English pertaining to the color and dimensions of the mat. Fortunately, they are written in pencil. Upon close observation t are three small areas w the print itself does not seem to be firmly affixed to the mat board, so t are slight waves in the paper. It seems this would be remedied by framing the print under glass. Also, t is a portion in the middle that looks as though it was creased before it was affixed onto the mat boad. It is not easily discernable because of being affixed to the mat board, but please know that it is t Am not sure if the photos were able to capture this. Small flaws aside, it is still a wonderful print and worthy of being cared for and enjoyed!
