RARE BIRD/FISH BOWL from Siassi Islands - PNG This item is from Professor Spencer's estate - She traveled the world extensively picking up various treasures primarily during the 60's, 70's and '80's Hand Carved Design Measures approx 19 1/2" in length Very interesting bowl, if you look closely at one of the handles, you will see the bird is eating a fish Age - Unknown Professor Spencer's description reads: "Siassi Islands, Papua New Guinea (scarce)" This item is from the estate of Art Professor Marjorie Spencer. She traveled the world collecting interesting, museum quality tribal art, artifacts, jewelry, weavings and textiles . I will be selling items from her extensive collection for the next few weeks. Please check back often. Professor Spencer was meticulous with regards to her record keeping. She labeled all her items, making selling them much more acurate.
