KAIPUK C. Alan Johnson C. Alan Johnson's Alaska Figurines embody the spirit of Alaska. Hand made and painted, they are inspired by the life and times the Johnson family experienced nearly 50 years ago as they visited with their native hosts in villages along Alaska's rugged coastline. Both endearing and unique, each figurine is a cherished memory captured forever in clay. This lovely figurine is named Kaipuk . She was designed in 1962 and is dressed in decorative traditional Eskimo parka, mittens and mukluks. She stands 5.5 inches tall and is marked KAIPUK and signed C. Alan Johnson © 1962 on the base. With wonderful detail and bright, beautiful colors, KAIPUK is in excellent condition without repairs and no chips, cracks or crazing. Some glaze variation and tiny markings on the back above the trim which are natural to the piece. A small scuff to the front hairline which is likely also original - each C. Alan Johnson figurine was hand made and painted and so has its own unique markings. C. Alan Johnson's work can be found in private and corporate collections world wide.
