An exquisitely glazed pottery pitcher from the Austin Texas clayworks of Don Herron. A large beautiful piece with a gorgeous drip glaze in purple, blue, green, and browns. Signed to base.Don Herron: After receiving an M.F.A. from Tulane University in New Orleans and a one year teaching assignment at California State at Long Beach, Associate Professor Herron has been teaching at The University of Texas at Austin since 1974. He was past president of the Texas Designer Craftsmen. Associate Professor Herron has established and maintains the Don Herron Clayworks studio which has over 50 galleries nationwide exhibiting his work. In addition to numerous one person and group exhibitions, his work is also in the permanent collection of the Brand Library Ceramics collection in Long Beach California as well as many private collections.
