Born in France, Emile Galle was one of the most important jewelry, furniture and art glass makers of the late 19th and early 20th century. Because of his contributions to the development of the art of glass making and to the Art Noveau Style, he is considered one of the most outstanding glass artists of his time. Galle introduced bold colors and subject matters and combined them to make expressive and telling objects of art. He was one of the few persons to master all the skills required to produce a quality piece of cameo glass from the forming of the blank to the final finishing processes. He was a master in his chosen field. This beautiful floral vase measures approx. 7.75" tall, 3.25" wide and the opening is approx. 1.75". The design is a relief of flowers and as you can see in the photos, the light can change how the colors come thru on this piece. Please see my other wonderful pieces of art glass acquired by a client who traveled the world to collect them. Thanks for looking and have a great day! inkFrog Analytics
