Signed (see photos.) From Mary's Obituary... Mary Tuttle, 66, succumbed to injuries suffered in a tragic accident near her home in Las Vegas, N.M. on Feb. 21, 2012. After graduating from Spencer High School in 1964, Mary entered the University of Iowa, where she received her BA degree in Art. During her years at the university, Mary's interest in making pottery blossomed, and soon after graduation she began a two-year apprenticeship with Gail Christenson, a well-known potter and teacher in Minneapolis. Drawn by the unique art of the desert southwest, Mary then moved to the Albuquerque area where she opened her pottery studio and gallery along the famed Route 66. Mary felt a deep kinship with the land and the people of her adopted state. Her exceptional one-of-a-kind pottery designs and earthy hand-mixed glazes drew wide acclaim. For 40 years, Mary lived a life she loved; her powerful creative energy driving her, and her beautiful collies always at her side. Mary's zest for life, her integrity, her kindness toward others and her natural beauty will be long remembered by all who knew her. Seller prefers PayPal and appreciates payment immediately read more
