You are bidding on one of the biggest key issues in all of Marveldom: Fantastic Four #5 featuring the first appearance of Dr Doom! I picked up this issue several years ago along with many other key issues from a one owner collection. The biggest problem with these issues is they all have holes in the spine from being placed in a binder! The good news? The cover has amazing gloss and color, and the corners are really, really nice. The bad news? There are holes in the comic... There is also a tear on the cover into the upper punch but it lays flat and pretty much in place so it doesn't really detract too much. Still a beautiful looking copy. There are no other missing pages or cutouts and it's fully complete.For the past many years I have been trying to upgrade these comics but because they have such amazing eye appeal, the only way to upgrade is to buy an issue in VF or better; which for this issue will run several thousand dollars. Trust me, I've seen Fine and better issues that werent' as pretty because of the creases, yellowing and such. Honestly, which would you rather have? A G/VG copy that looks G/VG, or a G/VG copy that looks VF? There's no question. I've had other comics out of the collection graded by CGC and for instance an FF 4 came back CGC 2.5 and it had more holes in the cover, and an FF 12 came back a 3.0. Both were
