These 9 coins bear their year of mintage, namely, 1986 in plastic case, 1987 in plastic case, 2 coins 1988, 1989, 1990, 3 coins 2001 in plastic cases, respectively; however, Uncirculated Silver American Eagles, struck at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, have no mint mark. These coins are uncirculated and 5 coins are still in the original plastic coin holders in which they were purchased from Littleton Coin Company. Please note 4 coins not in orginal sealed plastic cases. These coins weigh One Troy Ounce (31.101 grams) Fine Silver each and have a nominal face value of One ($1.00) Dollar, the only denomination in which they were struck. They each contain 99.93% silver, making them some of the purest coins ever minted by the United States. They have a diameter of 40.6mm with reeded edges (slightly larger than the traditional U.S. Silver Dollars of the past). From 1916 to 1947, the classic “Walking Liberty” design (produced by the artistic Adolph A. Weinman) on the front of this coin was used on the One-half ($.50) Dollars in the United States. This design was iconic and was favored publicly.
