This is a no reserve auction for 1964 Nelson Silvia gold and silver champion belt buckle. DESCRIPTION For sale is an Ultra Rare 1964 Nelson Silvia Co. belt buckle. This buckle was won at the San Antonio livestock exposition show in 1964. This buckle was given to the fastest horse at the show deeming the horse and rider Champion Reining. This trophy buckle is marked Nelson Silvia Co, sterling 10k, Houston. The gold on the buckle is a large horse and rider on the front, gold year makers on each side, as well as a gold rope encircling the entire buckle. The craftsmanship on this buckle is amazing, very detailed etching on the entire silver surface. This is one of Nelson-Silvia's rare trophy buckles for reining and is made of sterling silver and 10K gold and is nearly forty years old. This buckle measures 3 7/8 x 2 ¾ inches and would accommodate a belt 1 ½ inches wide. This is for an adult rodeo- not a junior rodeo. Nelson started his company in Houston, TX. The company was renamed the Nelson-Silvia Company in early 1960's when a partner was taken on.
