3 BU Roosevelt Dime Rolls - 150 Coins 1955-P, 1955-D, 1955-S Silver Content: For United States dimes, quarters and half dollars minted prior to 1965, each coin was 90% silver bullion. For these coins (Not Silver Dollars) there was .7234 Troy ounces of pure silver per dollar’s worth of change. This means that in a roll of quarters (40 coins) and a roll of half dollars (20 coins), there was 7.234 Troy ounces of pure silver because they were $10.00 rolls. A roll of dimes was $5.00 so it had 3.617 Troy ounces of pure silver. Since I am selling three rolls, this auction is for coins containing 10.851 Troy ounces of pure silver. Note that I have counted the coins and each roll contains 50 coins with the appropriate mintmark. All 150 coins are there. The 1955-P roll is brilliant white, and so is the 1955-S roll. The 1955-D roll is brilliant with a strong strike, but a number of the pieces have white spots, and the 2 end of roll coins are darkened (2 reverses). The 1955 rolls have some numismatic value, so I expect to get more than just silver bullion value. I am not going to take returns on these, though. They are nice enough looking rolls. They are not put-together junk rolls. Sales Information: 1. This is a bullion sale-no returns. 2. I’ll pay for the insured shipping. 3. I think Ebay forces everyone to use Paypal now.
