This Papal medal is a part of my father's collection. The paper case housing it reads "Papal Medal - AR - Pius VII 1800-23 -O/ Bust - R/ Religione Ac. Bonis Artibus - Emblamatic figure of Religion and the Acts in front of college. This medal was engraved by Corazzini and was given as a prize to the students of the Roman college." This medal was not struck by the Vatican . It is an authentic medal of that era though. As stated, this medal by Corazzini, was given as a prize to the students of the Roman College . "The Spinks Catalogue of Papal Medals" lists it as Number 1997. I have many more medals to list, so stay tuned!
