This is very fine Casket Plate with very detailed decoration. We have a picture of the back posted and you can see the metalsmithing involved to the lovely cast piece. It is marked in a very detailed Old World Script. The name is Margaret Monahan. He date of death is April 11th 1918. We got this in a grouping of Silver articles. We are not sure of the exact silver content. A magnet does not stick to it. It is silver the same back and front. We polished it with some Never Dull and buffed it with a cloth. The plaque measures 5 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" tall and it is aprox. 1/4" thick at the side. Excellant condition for its almost 100 years old with hardly any scratches, and no dents. The piece is quite heavy for its size, and again very well made. It is marked on the back with the initials S & CO. and a number 214. Email for any questions or more pictures.
