Tiffany & Co skeleton key. I assume this item is very rare, as I cannot find another. The key comes apart, I would suppose, so that the lock cannot be opened without both pieces. The bit is signed Tiffany & Co Sterling on one side, and monogrammed JBS on the other. The head of the key slides down to set into a pair of notches in the barrel. In great condition with light patina. Only the barrel is stamped sterling, I do not know if the inner part is sterling, but it fits into the barrel perfectly and looks like the same material. Received from an estate with many highly collectible objects of virtu, so I have no doubt to its authenticity. Shipped Priority with delivery confirmation.
