Smoky Quartz, Calcite, Goethite Keokuk Geodeclosed geode dimensions: 5-1/4 in X 4-1/2 in X 3-3/4 inweight: 3 lb 15 ozWhile I have yet to dig at Woodie's new & fabulous Keokuk geode mine in St. Francisville, this one is from there, and it is an excellent and recent find! This one was evenly cracked open, cabinet display size, and features an undamaged calcite crystal in one half and a cavity lined with lustrous, deep smoky quartz crystals. Dotting the surfaces of the quartz, in both halves are uncommon, individual black goethite crystals. Many of the crystals are iridescent showing green and blue reflections off of their black surfaces, making them even more unusual. This outstanding geode is from Clark County, Missouri.I specialize in top quality, mineralized Midwestern USA Geodes.My passion is collecting, buying, trading, and selling these geodes.
