SNOWBALLS TO ORANGES VIA FLORIDA SHORT LINE RR Up for auction is a soft cover historical book detailing the Short Line Railroad Route from New York to Florida complete with maps and details of the cities and points of interest on the trip. The Novel is entitled "Snowballs to Oranges" about a trip from Icy North to the Land of Flowers, New York to Florida over the New Florida Short Line. The Short Line in the early 1900's was composed of the Pennsylvania Railroad, Southern Railway and the Fla. Central & Peninsular Railroad. The book is actualy a historical account of the Cities and Historical Sites seen along the Short Line. The book was published with the cooperation of and made available with "Compliments of Passenger Departments of the Southern Railway and the Florida Central & Peninsular Railroad". Henry Gaze & Sons, Ltd, Tourist Agents For All Railroads & Steamship Lines, Jacksonville, Fla, distributed the book to its potential travelers and other interested Railroad people.
