SOMET Meopta mini Czech 8mm movie RARITY Only a few peoples know the production of Czechoslovakian cameras but they were produces many types starting from 1934. All were manufactured by Meopta in Brno city.If you are living in Czech or Slovak republik, you will collect all Meopta/Optikotechna made movies relatively quickly - with 4 exceptions. For Adastra you can forget, they were only prototypes. OP8 nobody never saw and even in Meopta they have only ugly piece. So they will stay 2 types about them are dreaming collectors : Admira Ledvinka and Somet. Interesting is that this camera has sometimes on from plate Somet, sometimes Sonet. It was made in late forties. It is 1x8mm movie. Camera is very small, look at 35mm film and compare sizes. I do not know that small move camera of this age. It is very interesting how it is loaded - on bottom you have spring with ring on end, you need pull it out, look at pictures.It is very rare camera, I needed once over 5 years until I get one for collection.
