The Pieta Single Decade Rosary Dedicated to Our Lord's Passion and the Sorrows of His Mother and Disciples This single decade rosary concentrates our meditations on the sorrows which Our Lord's Mother and followers felt during the Suffering and Crucifixion of Jesus and afterwards, until that first Easter Morning. The beads are 8mm faceted and firepolished Czech glass. The single Our Father bead is a ruby & crystal bicolor bead, representing the blood and water which came from Christ's side when pierced with the lance. The ten Hail Mary beads are alternating ruby red and crystal - representing the Saving Blood of Jesus and the tears of His followers. The Pieta medal is nickel silver, 1" tall, oval, from Italy. It has some oxidation which gives it a vintage look; also it shows the details. It is a depiction modeled after Michaelangelo's famous Pieta. It also directs our attention to the most profound sorrow of Our Lady. The very interesting flat-backed crucifix is a relief scene, in nickel silver with a smooth, beautifully detailed pewter-like finish. Measuring 1-5/8" x 1" wide, it is a scene of the crucifixion with the cross, Corpus, and Mary and St John at the foot.
