You are bidding on a $1 South Carolina Rail Road Company bill, issued in Charleston in 1873. The picture on the left shows a steam locomotive engine. A seated lady with an anchor at her feet is on the right. This bill was printed with red, green and black inks. It says "Good for the fare of one passenger for twenty-five miles ...". The back has an intricate green design, and says American Bank Note Co. New York. It has a slit and a few pinholes.
