This curly haired little boy stands 12" tall. From the table top to the Lyre is 26". The base measures 7" square. The lamp is all one piece and a off white coloring. The paint is chipping and reveals a metal base. This lamp is very sturdy and weighs 7 pounds. The boy is holding in his left hand an open book and in the right hand cradeling a branch with a bird nest holding three baby birds. A satchel is slung across his right shoulder over to his left side. He is barefoot and in knee britches and a jacket buttoned part way down the front. There are no visible fractures. There is a logo medallion in the back of the plant. It is stamped 'collection Francaise - Made in U.S.A.' There are no other identifying markings. It has been in one family since the early 1940's.
