This is a 1930's Spode Italian Blue cup, saucer and tea plate trio. The tea cup measures 95mm diameter by 60mm high. It has the Copeland printed mark on the base. There is no evidence of chipping or cracking on the rim or handle. There are several rough areas on the base rim which look more like inclusions in the material rather than chips. The saucer measures 5.5" diameter. It has the Copeland printed mark on the base and the number 12. It also has the impressed Copeland around a crown mark. The side plate measures 6.25" diameter. It has the Copeland printed mark on the base and the number 7. It also has the impressed Copeland around a crown and the impressed letter S over the number 30 (September 1930). Both the saucer and the plate have two small blemishes on the rim which I believe are from the manufacturing process. I have 6 saucers, 6 round side plates and 6 square side plates all of which have the same sort of blemish with very similar sizes and spacings. Otherwise they are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Please note I do not profess to be an expert on the items I am selling. I am a private seller who is slowly disposing of the 'family jewels' accumulated over the years. I research the items as best as I can and describe any defects that i see.
