This is another super rare footed serving dish, in the old mark Spode Billingsley Rose pattrn. Don't think I have ever seen another like this one - it stands 4-1/2" high, is 9-1/2" in diameter on top - the base is 5-1/4" in diamter. You will notice the top plate is "dished" i.e. lower in the centre. This will make a wonderful addition to your set, and make a statement on your table. T is a bit of crazing typical of Spode, and t is a small (less than 1/8") nick on the underside rim of the plate, and extending from the nick is a less than 1/2" hairline in the glaze only. I tried to photograph it several times but it was just to small - I have looked at it with a 10 power loop - and can guarantee the hairline is only in the glaze on the underside only and t is no indication whatsoever of any crack in the china. The top under magnification is absolutely clear of any chips, or hairlines or cracks - and t are no restorations. This is a beautiful, rare piece of Billingsley Rose, and it is offered at no reserve.
