Great spur straps offered for sale. This is a pair of straps that were on a pair of very early Crockett spurs, but were not as old as the Crocketts so we sold the spurs without the straps. Upon closer examination of the straps we found the following: 1) The leather is made by Calvin Allen Saddlery of Texas (at their earlier location). Stamped on both: Calvin Allen / Goslin, Texas. 2) The buckles are beautiful Vintage Sterling Silver overlaid Fleming buckles and tips. Matched and Maker Marked: FLEMING, STERLING SILVER OVERLAID, MEXICO, GM13. 3) The leathers are mis-matched pattern, though they are the same size and have matching Fleming hardware and are cut identically. It took us about a year to notice that they were not the same stamping. {See photos for the two patterns. One is a very nice acorn pattern and the other is a stylized floral}. This pair of straps is in excellent condition and is vastly improved by the Vintage Fleming hardware that is beautifully patterned in Sterling.
