SS Kaiserin Auguste Victoria was built by AG Vulcan Stettin in Stettin for Hamburg America Line . She was launched August 29, 1905; her maiden voyage was May 10, 1906. Weighting 24,581 tons and with a length of 677.5 feet she had accommodations for 2,466 passengers. She sailed between Hamburg and New York City until the start of war in 1914.At the end of World War I she was surrendered to Britain and, when chartered by the United States Shipping Board, became USS Kaiserin Auguste Victoria. She was used to carry American troops from France to the United States.In 1920 she was chartered to Cunard and SS Kaiserin Auguste Victoria sailed between Liverpool and New York for a short time. In May 1921 she was sold to Canadian Pacific for the Southampton to New York passage and renamed Empress of Scotland. She was scrapped in Blyth in 1930 after s he was gutted by a fire at the shipbreaker's yard.ATTENTION: SS Kaiserin Auguste Victoria is in good condition, but ship models may require some attention or minor repairs upon arrival.
