This beautiful dinnerware was offered in grocery stores around the 1970's. It was made in Staffordshire England. The pattern is called "Liberty Blue". All the pieces in the line were done in blue and white depicting American history, fourteen historic scenes in all. This set of 5 plates measure 6 7/8" each. I'm assuming these are considered to be the 7" plates in my price guide book. If they are, they are considered to be scarce. They are not bread & butter (they measure 6"). This set of 5 plates have scene of "George Washington leaving Christ Church". Very beautiful set of plates of American history. I have more of this dinnerware up for auction. Combine shipment to save on shipping cost. Condition . . . . Used. . . Excellent. No chips or cracks. Color looks great. T are a few very light scratch marks and some very light mercury color marks on back side. Most likely from stacking. Overall these plates are excellent.
