Offered is a near mint early vintage STANLEY #444 Dovetail Plane in its original wooden box with a sliding top, that appears to have been used, but NOT abused. It is complete with ALL original parts including instructions, two fences, both spur blocks and rods, and mint wooden box for cutters. The only items missing I can see are the screwdriver and sample block. Top has 90% of the inside label with cutting descriptions. The nickel plating is 99% intact with only a couple blemishes on top. The cutters have been honed, but still have the blue cast from tempering. This entire set came packed in heavy gun oil/grease so it has been well preserved. The original box is solid with most of the label missing. I bought this for woodworking, but I just can't violate it - it belongs in YOUR collection. It will be well packaged and shipped in a box within a box. Insurance is optional. The reserve is modest for a rare plane of this caliber. Please check out my other planes this week.
