Stanley No #605 Wood Plane Pat 1895 1910 NO RESERVE We helped a local family move from their home to a 55+ living community. In cleaning out the garage, we found these two Stanley Wood Planes, No 605. They were VERY DIRTY (have been stored for over 40 years) so we dusted them off, but did not wash them (didn't want to have any rusting, etc or potentially take off paint, etc.) We did not take them apart, but did loosen them so the blade was not sticking down below the level of the plane. Please super size the photos as they are part of the description, and ask additional questions before bidding. We are offering each of the planes separately, although always willing to combine to save on shipping.....check our other auctions. This auction is for the following item: Stanley Wood Plane No 605 with two patent dates of APR. 2 .85 (1885); and APR. 19 .10 (1910) Most of the black paint looks to be in place on the inside body of the plane, though t are spots and splatters of paint. The patina on the wood handle in the back is beautiful, unfortunately it looks like it has cracked at some point over the years. The knob on the front is intact and measures about 2 5/8" tall, and has what looks like a brown paint run on the back of the handle. The handle in the back is cracked, as mentioned, and has a different shape than the other plane we are offering . This one measures 4 1/4" tall. The overall length of this plane is 14" and the width is 2 3/8". Naturally since it is metal, the weight for shipping will reflect that. NO RESERVE Note, we will gladly ship international.
