This is a Stanley Bedrock 605 1/2 Corrugated Bottom Jack Plane. It is a type 7 plane manufactured from 1923 to 1935*. It is in good operating condition with 85% of the Japanning remaining. The bed of the plane has the following features: Bedrock label on the front, US Pat. April 19, 1910 behind the frog and No. 605 1/2 on the heel of the bed. T are several tiny chips that you can feel with your fingernail when you slide down the edge, nose and heel of the plane. The lever cap has no chips or abuse. . T are no cracks, repairs, stains, scratches, or evidence of abuse on the bed and bottom. The plane has been used but is in very good operating condition and appearance. The raised front knob and handle are from Rosewood and are complete and in good condition without significant chips, cracks or repairs. They are heavy with patina. The Lever Cap contains the type 6a (1922 manufacture) Bedrock marking, but the cutter has the notched rectangular Stanley Logo with the sweetheart lable (7B) immediately underneath followed by the Made in USA embossing. T is no evidence of rust, scale, or pitting on the plane or blades.
