Gorgeous Briar Pipe!! Offered for auction comes a sandblast long-shank "canadian" sitter style Briar pipe marked STANWELL from a vintage Estate Collection ! This pipe has been smoked, and is in very nice condition. The shank has a nicely repaired hairline crack on the bottom side as can be seen in my close-up photo. The repair appears to be rock solid . This fine pipe has been reamed, waxed and polished;and the stem has been sanitized. The overall length of the pipe is 6 3/4", with the bowl measuring 1 1/4" at the widest; and an inner bowl diameter of 3/4". This pipe's bowl is 1 3/4" tall! The briar has fabulous texturing and nice luster! (Any faint yellow spot appearing in the photos is a reflection of the overhead lighting.) The pipe is impressed with: STANWELLREGD. NO. 969-48HAND MADEMADE IN DENMARK75 The stem is a push-in type, and is in very nice condition with a light, faint dent on the bottom . The stem is marked on the top side with a crown over an S.
