STUNNING-C 1910 ANTIQUE 12K ROLLED ROSE GOLD BANGLE- 25GM-NR This is a truly STUNNING Antique 12k Rolled Rose Gold bangle.... that is in OUTSTNDING antique condition.. you will not be disappointed with this beautiful bangle.... and it is a substantial 1/2" in width..with a gorgeous soft PINK rose gold color. It is becoming increasingly harder to find these bangles in this weight and width.. and in this condition.. Any dark colors appearing on the bangle photos are only reflection due to its extreme high shine... the photos appear brassy in color but it is a soft antique rose gold color..that rich buttery hue with a rosey glow... These were taken in full sunlight to give a true indication of the items condition as when jewelry is taken under artificial light it tends to give it a much richer look and tends to hide imperfections. It has a central DOGWOOD BLOSSOMS surrounded by scrolls and carvings and the Victorian Meaning for this flower is DOGWOOD BLOSSOM - ETERNAL LOVE so this is a romantic piece, and would make a fabulous gift for a loved one for a special occasion. HISTORY This is Circa 1910 by design and styling . It is mot stamped for gold content but the outer surface tests positive for 12 karat gold and it is rolled gold or gold shell. . It is stamped inside with the makers mark MR inside a diamond. ] It is beautifully carved with scrolls and abstract foliage and the patterning sparkles under the light .. Antique quality rolled gold such as this , is considered to be equivalent to todays low karat gold due to the amount of gold externally. It wears just the same.. I have one just the same and havent taken it off for many years and is sparkles the same as it did many years ago. DESCRIPTION & SIZING It is an antique soft rose gold color ..that lovely buttery hue with a rosey glow.. ... and has beautiful carvings around the entire front surface..and the back and interior are plain and smooth. I have one of these, and they are substantial pieces and are fabulous for every day wear and they are semi tubular...It captures the light beautifully... The dogwood blossoms are deeply carved and have enamelling in the grooves called Taille D'Eparne to enhance these carvings. The flowers are surrounded by scrolls and Acanthus Leaves. This is a hinged bangle, oval in shape with a push button clasp opens and closes beautifully with a crisp snap...the hinge is strong and tight with no play... It is 1/2" in width..and measures 7 3/8" inside and is a gorgeous piece. This would fit a wrist from 5 1/2" - 7 1/4" It weighs approx 25 GRAMS which further adds to its appeal. ! It has initials on the back in Olde Worlde Script which are EBM and i love these signed pieces as they authenticate them and give them a nostalgic feel..as you know they have a history.. The only fault I can see is a couple of little dimples on the back, but this is consistent with age and is not visible when being worn and does not detract from its beauty in anyway..and apart from that in fabulous antique condition. These are just STUNNING pieces.. they look glamorous and elegant ..and look as good with jeans or evening wear.. THis is a MUST for the bangle collector who is looking for a nice antique piece to wear everyday ..and this one can sustain some rough treatment..as mine does ! The photos look brassy in color but please check my feedback so that you may feel confident bidding with me , as i receive a lot of comments that the items are much prettier in person. It is so shiny it was so hard to photograph due to the reflections.
