SUNDERLAND Mttld Pink LUSTRE Plaque HdPtd S Moore & Co This item is from a vast Sunderland / Staffordshire lustre collection - a collection carefully amassed over the lifetime of one dedicated couple, two of the most educated lustre collectors in North America. Some of the collection was purchased from England, some from North America from very reputable dealers. Pieces in the collection were also hard won at auction and some of it picked from the rubble of antique markets over the years. After a lifetime of collecting, the collection is being offered on eBay over the coming weeks through Estate Finds (eBay's decadesofdesign), one item or lot at a time with NO RESERVE. Mid 19th century rectangular mottled pink Sunderland lusterware plaque with moulded corners and border accents. Central black transferware motif features a regally adorned couple courting in the woods with a castle beyond, with a couple of female attendants in standing nearby. Lovely hand-painted detail - crisp green foliage, yellow flowers and yellow and orange dresses. On the back, t is the impressed mark for S. Moore & Co and a black
