If you are looking for a SUPER, AUTHENTIC ILLINOIS COBBS POINT it is. This artifact was found in Chimpaign County, ILLinois. This point is about 3 3/4" long x 1 3/8" wide. This point has super early flaking, with fantastic beveling of the blade . It is very thin and NO NASTY STACKS, will lay flat in your show case. It is out of my personal collection and is ex-Dennis Smith. This artifact is a no brainer for being authentic. I have checked this artifact under a 20x-40x microscope and it shows plenty of mineral deposits, soil staining and good use ware. T are no modern reworkings or repairs and is in as found condition. The gas money alone to find it would cost more than this opening bid! It will paper as authentic artifact. PERIOD! As always, I give 14 days return for any reason and 30 days to have it papered and if Dickey, Burner, Meadows, Baker or Motley reject them as an authentic artifact I will return your full bid price with buyer responsible for return shipping.
