This is a superb example of an antique Majolica Begonia Leaf Plate, .. dating from circa. 1860. The plate is modelled and decorated with a relief moulding of overlapping begonia leaves, ... then finished in a rich glaze typical of majolica wares. The plate is in good condition. T are no chips or repairs. T is a small fine hair-line on the back rim and some wear to the glaze on the rim edge, ... these are minimal .. and are shown in the photos.
