This is a beautiful VINTAGE OLIVE WOOD BOOK BOX In my estimation it dates from around the mid 20th Century, circa 1950's, but please make up your own mind about this. The box measures approx 4 1/2 inches (120mm) by 3 1/2 inches ( 60mm) by 1 1/2 inches ( 35mm) and is made from polished olive wood. It opens by pushing on the end, whereupon the internal compartment pivots out. The book box is decorated with inlaid banding on the spine, and marked JERUSALEM on the front cover, and in arabic on the back. It is in excellent original condition with very light wear consistent with its great age, but no damage or repairs. This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection.
