Up for sale is this beautiful Taino figure in perfect condition.This one is a representation of Cohoba. Cohoba was one of the main gods in Taino culture, the plate on his head was used to hold an hallucinogenic substance which was inhaled in a religious ceremony called the "Rite of Cohoba", during which they communicated with the gods.Cohoba is said to posses protective powers guarding people from tragedy.This was obtained in the Dominican Republic, it's exact origins are unknown to me.!Weight: 8.65 oz / 245 grsHeight: 4.5 inchesWidth: 2.75 inches
