TEREK SANDPIPER SHOREBIRD DECOY CARVING by HAROLD VAN DYCK from CLAYTON, DELAWARE The Terek Sandpiper is an occasional visitor from Asia. It is named after the Terek River which flows into the west of the Caspian Sea. I individually hand carved and painted this decoy and mounted it on a nice driftwood base. The carving is about 6 inches tall by 8 inches. It has fine glass eyes and is signed under the tail and on the bottom of the driftwood base. Carving birds has been my passion for over 35 years.
