Each of these rare Marvel Universe kits comes in an expertly decorated metal box, ready to be assembled and painted along with a character biography card and display pedestal. This Thor Model Kit stands approximately 3 inches in height once completed and is cast in SOLID WHITE METAL ALLOY. These incredibly detailed model kits are the prefect addition to any collection. Kit requires glue and paint for assembly and final finishing. Recommended for collectors and hobbyists 15 and older . It has never been displayed or handled and comes to you in perfect factory fresh condition in its original box. It is a must for you collection. Thor is a fictional superhero who appears in publications published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in Journey into Mystery #83 (August 1962) and was created by editor-plotter Stan Lee, scripter Larry Lieber, and penciller Jack Kirby. Debuting in the Silver Age of Comic Books, the character is based on the Thor of Norse mythology. Thor has starred in several ongoing series; limited series and has been a perennial member of the superhero team the Avengers, appearing in each of the three volumes. The character has also appeared in associated Marvel merchandise including animated television series, clothing, toys, trading cards, and video games and is an upcoming character to debut in blockbuster films in 2011.
