You are bidding on a complete set of 20 books in The Bedtime Story-Books series, all of which were written by Thornton W. Burgess. All of the books are glossy pictorial hardcovers and all are Canadian Editions printed in 1964 by Little, Brown and Company. All of the books are illustrated, but there is no indication of who the illustrator was. The condition of the books ranges from G+ (good) to VG+ (very good plus), with my rating scale progressing as follows: G . . G+ . . VG- . . VG . . VG+ . . NF- . . NF A book that is in G condition will have more wear than average, but it will not have any major flaws that would make it unreadable or terribly unsightly. The cover may be a little soiled and/or tanned from age and will have moderate or more edge wear. The corners may have been bumped. The spine may be a little faded, slanted and/or a little cocked. Clear tape may have been applied on the spine to repair a tear. There may be a name, inscription, price or bookstore stamp inside somewhere. The pages will be tight, but they may be less crisp than when new, may show some age tanning, and may have small smudges, stains and corner folds. Two or three pages may have a small edge tear. In one book, one of the illustrations has been coloured. One book has a small, light stain on the spine, one book has a more noticeable (but still not glaring) stain on the spine, and one book has a small, light stain on the back cover.A book that is in NF condition will be almost like new. The cover may have slight edge wear and the pages may show a little age tanning.Following is a list of the titles included in this lot, along with a rating of their overall condition. I live in Canada, but all US-bound shipments will be transported across the border by my private courier to be shipped from Washington state. This way my US buyers save a lot of money on postage and don't have to worry about paying duty or customs inspection fees. I do not charge a handling fee for myself, but the above-mentioned shipping charge does include the cost of the packaging and the fee I have to pay my courier to take the package across the border.
