This 1920's bronze Dragon Door handle is from Eastern Bhutan . Originates from a door of a Tibetan Gompa (Monastery}. The door handle is 12" long and 3 inches wide. The top of the door handle has the top of a Buddhist temple and the handle has the eight auspicious symbols of Tibet engraved in the bronze sleeve. The handle had the dragon head with one leg holding the "Norbu". T are 4 holes in handle to insert nails or screws. Beautifully preserved piece of Bhutanese art.
