Doesn't everyone want something marked Tiffany at least once in their life? Up for auction is this sweet little bowl marked "Tiffany & Co." in gold lettering on the bottom, just below an incised mark that we cannot decipher (the incised mark does not seem to refer to the Tiffany company). This bowl is from the collection of a lady who was a buyer for 50 years for a local jewelry store. Traveling the country as a buyer, I'm sure she visited Tiffany's on more than one occasion. The bowl is 6" wide, and approx. 2 1/2" high, and has a floral motif that is reminiscent of oriental art. The decor is divided in four panels, each with a different theme of bamboo, orchid, lotus, etc. within blue and white decorative sections. It may have been created as a serving bowl, but with the decoration in mind, it probably was intended as a planter, or bulb starter bowl. This piece is in super condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. This would be a lovely gift to give for a "Mothers Day" gift that would have lasting memories and lasting value.
