Up for auction is a signed L.C. Tiffany favrile lamp shade and base. This lamp is 16" tall and the shade is 10" in diameter and 5" high. The iridescent shade is signed L.C. Tiffany favrile. The base is signed Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces, Inc. 10F. I would guess this lamp was made in the early 1900's. This lamp has been rewired at sometime. On the top of the shade t are two areas with glass chipping, however you can still see the Tiffany signature and faverile. The area is covered up when the vase cap is attached. The shade still sits nicely on the lamp base. The colors in the shade and base are beautiful. The lamp shade has varying shades of yellow gold, with the darkest concentration on the upper third of the shade. The iridescence of the shade shows pink, blue, green depending on light patterns, with the heavist concentration on the bottom 2/3 rd's of the shade. The lamp base shows alot of gold/yellow, blue and green colors. T are no cracks in the lamp shade, other than the two chipped out areas which are covered by the vase cap. A really nice original signed Tiffany shade and base with a modest reserve, sold as is.
